We've been following this one for a while now and it's coming up to the finishing touches. Dave has had to make new mounting plates for the front and rear bars because the HZ Tonner chassis mounts don't reach anywhere near forward enough for the humungous Chevy bars.
Extra heavy duty plate had to be used due to the weight of the two bars being mounted up. These are the sort of problems that continually raise their heads during a massive conversion as this one has proved to be. It's times like these that your fabricator better know his 'stuff' otherwise your project will end up being stuffed. These trucks were not supplied with seat belts in the US and now Dave has to fabricate mounts, that meet with the designs rules, to install the seat belts. Simple problem, maybe, but it takes a lot of research before anything can be cut and welded. . .
