New Home Needed . . .

For sale is this 383c.i. Chev with all the fruit. Motor has very few K's and would suit new buyer. . .
As can be seen, motor is complete and ready to rumble. This thing has a fair bit of attitude and has some serious mods. Any genuine buyers can give Andrew a call . . .
Asking price is $8500 and no bullshit offers. . .

Cliff's F100 . . .

The big fella has been doing a lot of running around but still manages to get some quality work done in between trips. Here the new mount and cross-member for the air-bags has been made up and welded in. There was nothing provided for the top mount of the air-bag, so Hodgey just measured up and got to it . . .
Same as with the front mount, nothing was supplied for the top mount of the rear mounted shockers. Again, Andrew just measured up the travel requirements for the fat little shocks and cut a new cross-member to suit . . .

Meccano set . . .

Down to all the little fiddly bits during final re-build. Dave looks a little perplexed as a few of the items don't really belong and need to be replaced with genuine parts. That's a big arse on the old girl whichever way you look at it . . .
Certainly a nice looking ciccle, sitting nice and low with a small rake to the front . . .

Cliff's F100 again . . .

Dylan has spent most of the morning working with a die-grinder to clean up all the welds before the floor-pan gets a coat of paint. Plenty of new metalwork here, with plenty more to come. . .
A quick look inside the cabin and you can see the quality of the sheetmetal work that D has undertaken . . .

Hi to Reece . . .

Hey eveyone, this is Reece. He's a young fella with a 'burning in the belly' to learn fabricating.  Hodgey, being the resident softy, has taken him under his wing and Reece will be with us a couple of days a week . . .good onya Reece.

As can be seen he's spraying the floorpan of the EH wagon with body deadener after all the floorpan mods that included the mini-tubs. This project has been stalled for a few months waiting on the arrival of the new V6 Conversions front end. This is the same front end that was used in 'Corey's Conversion' but this one will be running the traditional V8 conversion instead of the SV6 motor that went into Corey's wagon . . .

Cliff's F100. . .

Hodgey sure likes making the sparks fly, if he's not sticking the grinding wheel into some steel, he's blasting it into molten metal with the plasma cutter. By the look of the red face, it sure gets hot at ground zero!
Mock-up diff is sitting in place and the 4 link suspension is now all welded and mounted correctly into place. TCI sure make a great kit  and things only needed minor adjustment for everything to fall into place . . .
Other side looks just as good and as the top pic shows, Hodgey is off cutting some custom mounts for the air-bag cross member. . .

More of Cliffy's F100 below. . .

Cliff's F100 . . .again

'D' has spent the last couple of days working on the cabin of Cliff's F100. By the look of the tin-worm infestation, he's gonna be working on this cabin for the next 2-3 weeks. Fire-wall looks good though!
'D' marking out a new floor pan for the passenger side cabin. Have a look at the bottom of the door sill where it meets the front guard, what a FN mess. This all has to be cut out and hand made from fresh sheetmetal. Only problem for 'D' is that the other side is just as bad, so he can't look there for an outline!
Dylan, known as 'D' in the shed, now wants to be known as Patrick 'Swagey' after he says, confidently, that he has now mastered the swaging rig . . .
Proof is in the pudding. Newly swaged floor pan has been tack welded into place and now the passenger side looks fantastic. Looks like the driver's side is going to get the same treatment after Hodgey happily complimented 'D' on his great work. 'D' is at his happiest when he is given a huge task and then left to his devices to complete the task. . .

FN Typical . . .

One sunny day and the car park at Hodgey's shed is full of Harleys and Choppers and then the next day is overcast and guess what? Where's all the big tuff fuckin bikies now? All seen driving their work cars, wearing wooly mittens and grandma's knitted socks, bunch of sooks!

'49 Pilot . . .

The boys have moved the cabin indoors and plonked her in place on top of the newly fabbed chassis . . .
This is going to be one nice ride . . .

Cliff's F100 . . .

Nine inch diff held in place ready for the suspension to be fabbed up . . .
Hodgey making some minor adjustments to the rear hangers . . .
After some adjustment, Hodgey is carefully squaring up the new rear hanging brackets . . .
Four link in place and looking sweet. Diagonal tracking bar will also be added to make sure the diff remains centred and running true . . .
Meanwhile, D has the unenviable job of replacing all the rusted out panels of the cabin with new sheetmetal. No 'weld-in' parts here, it's all hand made and fabbed into place . . .

Cliff's F100 . . .

New rails in place and ready for a few finishing touches . . .
Chassis has been turned over in the jig and final welding can be carried out on the notched rails. You can see the old chassis still waiting to be cut away and allow further welding. Amazing work from the big fella . . .

Umm ? ? ?

A drop-in visit from the local Sex Party candidate for a quick meet'n greet. . .WTF?

Shorty's Shit . . .

Trouble is when you start a project, is that it's all one step forward and then two steps back! Dave has built this thing that many times and then had to break it down again just to get it going in the right direction again . . .

LC/LJ Torana Coupe . . .

Little coupe is constantly moving in the right direction. The new chassis rails are in and today copped a new coat of paint . . .
Far better system than what was in there previously. It will allow the car to sit lower, give more suspension travel and most importantly, will be eligible for engineering certificate. . .

L'il Pick-up . . .

L'il Pick-up hitching a ride out to Trevor's place for a new lick of paint. .  .Pannier style of course!

Shorty's Shit . . .

Dave working flat out grinding/smoothing up the joints on the custom pipes for Shorty's new ride. . .
New pipes sitting in place and this is final positioning and they look great. This is no ordinary motor either, tipping the scales at 130HP. . .
Pipes needed to be extra smooth because they are going to be custom coated by the heat-treaters and that's all, no wraps on these babies. . .

LC/LJ Torana Coupe . . .

Probably the best place for this set-up is now, by co-incedence where it's residing. . .the big bin!
The boys having a trial fit of the new chassis rails. . .
Nothing left to chance here and nothing is as straight as plumb-lines. Check out the erfect positioning of the plumb 'cross' top dead centre of the new chassis arch . . .
If you click onto Hodgey's Facebook page you can see the new chassis rails all welded in and ground up nice and smooth for the showroom finish. . .
Interesting thing this little Coupe. Up front is all show car but down back it's all Pro-strip drag racer. Certainly an unusual combination and one that's not going to be easy to pull off!

Shorty's Shit . . .

Dave working hard at making up a new exhaust system for Shorty's new ride. Pipes are called Bell-tips or Bell-mouths, can't remember which one Hodgey said. With all the bullshit that travels between my ears, you're lucky I can remember what fucking day it is!
First design and after sending shorty a quick pic over the phone, he didn't like it, and then Dave is quickly back at work re-bending and making up a slightly different system with the bottom pipe rising up higher and running parrallel to the top pipe. It looks a lot better but you will have to wait until Monday night for a picture of that one because the dickhead with the camera forgot to take a pic. . .Don't worry, I've had a stern word to him!

Cliff's F100 . . .

New rear chassis rails being cut in to Cliff's F100. Hodgey has worked his usual magic and made up these two rails in no time flat and you can see the difference between the old chassis in the rear of the pic and the new rail in the fore ground. . .
Unbelievable how smoothly the new rails are cut in to the old chassis without a join in sight. Should have been made this way in the first place? Plently of room now to drop this old girl on her guts and turn her into a really rad ride. . .

LC/LJ Torana Coupe . . .

New rails being made up for the little coupe shows how the cut-outs are stitch welded together so that the heat doesn't buckle them. . .
Then the finally ground up pieces waiting for any smal holes to be either filled with spot welds or 'filled' with special steel filler for the smooth look necessary for a show finish . . .

Who's got a fat bum then? . . .

Still the best looking ciccle going around in my opinion, but someone with an oversized arse parked his larger than human derrier into the rider's seat and broke the shocker mount. What a shocking way to teat a truly wonderful ride. . .

Shorty's Shit . . .

This is the remaining half of The Shorty Package from earlier on this year when Hodgey fixed up a Hotrod frame ready for action . . .
Two big hitters playing with their favorite toys.
Hodgey giving Dave a hand to check the mounts on Shorty's Harley. . .

Cliff's F100 . . .

Beautiful looking gear all the way through with the front end basically complete. . .
Have a geek at these Babies. Willwood discs are going to all corners. . .
TLC front end is great value for money with top quality all the way. Air bags and short throw shockers thrown in amongst some nicely made tubular arms and you've got yourself a pretty stonkin package. . .
