'27 Willy's . . .
This is a frame from a '27 Willy's that's been dropped into the shed in a half fucked up condition and now Hodgey is to turn it into a turn key rod . . .
Not your usual transplant but the owner is not after big horsepower, so the transplant diff has come from an XF Ford donor. Looking at the pics you will see an unusual looking 'K' frame section and certainly not the way that Hodgey sets up his chassis assemblies. . .
This is the body section that was delivered along with the chassis. The owner is setting his rod along the lines of the old 'Salt' racers and will be something special. Motor is an old Flat-top of course. . .
As you can see, Andrew has started on the 4bar set-up and has to cut and weld most of the mounting kit that came with the car. Bushes had to be drilled, 'wings' cut off mounting blocks and careful measuring of the diff and old mounts have to be carried out before any welding can be done . . .
