VW Volksrod . . .

Whadya think? Dylan has just boxed in the front end of the rod and raised the fuel tank a few inches so that the big mods can continue out the front. He certainly does nice metalwork and the completed jobs are well ahead of his years. . . .
You can see from hear the front boxed in section and the new high mount for the fuel tank. The crazy FN paintwork on this thing makes it look like a waste of time working on it, but it is quite a good project really, just fucked-up paint all over the thing. . .
This is the big job out front that I was alluring to.
This hand-made mount fits into the old mount and moves the front cross-member forward by seven inches and by raising the actual mounting points the front end gets lowered three inches. This is one solid mount and very, very cool how it changes the whole stance of the Volksrod. This is probably the most significant modification to the whole build of this car. Well done boys and very fucking cool. Looking back a couple of posts, you will remember Hodgey making up custom parts for the steering assembly, now you will understand why. It's all part of the big picture and it's all inside the Grand Master's head, Hodgey you da man!!!
