EH Wagon . . .

All good things come to those who wait, and wait and wait and bloody-well wait. Fair dinkum, I reckon the poor apprentice had to swim across to Dubai and then use a pair of floaties to get the steel back to Australia for this job. Six weeks is the quoted time frame from order to delivery, dunno what the other eleven friggin weeks were for? Anyway it's in now and looking great . . .
Now here's a very famous photo of why bosses hate fucking mobile phones. Dave's busily cleaning up the surface rust on the EH's new diff and the phone rings. Well as you can see, it's down tools and off outside where he can hear 'coz it's too noisey inside. Geez, don't get Hodgey started on the other fella, he's constantly got his ear plugs in, rocking away to whatever gospel choir that tickles his fancy this week and then he wonders why he looks like bloody Norman Gunstan, covered in band-aids? . . . Social media hey, stupid fucking idea! . . .

Cliff's F100 . . .

New rear corner unit for the cabin of Cliff's F100, you know, you can say what you like about these 'cut-in' pieces, but I reckon they're bloody great and there aren't too many people out there with enough, or any, skill with the English wheel to constantly turn out a quality product like that, time after time . . .
As you can see, 'D' has started tack welding one side of the new corner piece into place, but as usual, it's 'down tools' and off to the first aid kit for another half dozen band aids. Fair dinkum, this kid loses more skin than Kym Kardashian during her daily exfoliating sessions in her three man shower. It had to be a three man job to fit her great big arse in . . .

Cliff's F100 . . .

'D' has been working, something like that anyway, on Cliffy's F100 for a while now and just as I arrived today he was throwing some undercoat at the new rear window section that he had just welded in. These replacement panels sure make work a lot easier when they are available for the area required. And as you can see, this is 'Speedie', she's the reason that there's never any reports of a Wednesday. Wednesday is Poppy's day, but she likes coming down and saying hi to her boys . . .

Yard Duty . . .

What did I say about the sun coming out coincidently with the ciccles? As Big Arnie would say, "They're a bunch of girly men". . .
Got to amidt though folks, she sure is a pretty looking yard. If only the Looper who owned the shed would cough up for a bit more concrete the yard would look great. Never know, there might be enough concrete left for the shitter's boots and we could send him swimmin? . . .
Gotta love this little beast, can't stop taking pics of it, Maybe, just maybe, it could be taken out for a photo shoot before Chris pics it up? . . .

FE Holden . . .

The boys sure have got their work cut out down this end of the vehiccle. Mid-mounted fuel cell has to be lifted completely into the boot space and the external filler has to be removed and the hole filled in and internal filler to take its place...
Up front, things are looking more like there's been a bit done, but hey looks can be deceiving. Still plenty of work to stabilize the new 612, from memory, ponies and then a new bonnet and a couple of other little trinkets. . .

Danny and Chris . . .

Hey Chris, is this what you've been looking for?
Not bad for a daily driver; you might want to wait until we put some glass in those big holes first?

Zigg's Rig . . .

Good old Zigg, geez he's had to put up with some shit that's beed dealt out to him over the time of the build, but he's stuck to his guns and here it is, nearly ready for rego and looking so fucking cool that I reckon it would freeze the nuts off a penguin. . .

Shorty's Shit . . .

The big fella has been working his arse off lately, although the size of it you wouldn't reckon that he had succeeded, but he has achieved plenty with Shorty's ride and it's looking kinda unreal, even if I do say so myself ..
You see, everyone is allowed an opinion and when I first saw Shorty's bike coming together I thought to myself "Ya gotta be fucking kidding.", but I tell ya, since it's got close to being on the road, I've completely changed my mind and now reckon it's a good looking ride. . .

FE Holden . . .

Little bit of bling goes a long way when you plonk it in the middle of a gloss black engine bay.Dave switched his attention over to the FE for a couple of days and the new motor looks fantastic sitting in the fresshly painted bay. Although, you'd be lucky to see as much of it at the moment as Dave was busily fitting the aluminium radiator when I was taking a couple of quick snaps. . .

Fine Ride . . .

You've gotta keep your eyes open where ever you go these days, coz you never know what you will find hiding away somewhere . . .
I was looking for a little tub of paint to match up a couple of scratches when I saw this thing parked out the back of the shed. . .
With the bosses permission, I grabbed my camera and took a couple of quick snaps before he changed his mind . . .
Apart from being a really nice bike and put together by Satan himself, the paint on this thing is completely out of this world. Without a doubt, one of the best paint jobs that I have seen in a long, long, long time. As you moved around, the colors followed you and it looked almost 3D. A totally incredible ciccle folks and one of the few rides that I would be happy to call my own . . .

Zigg's Rig . . .

Beautiful day outside so Dave and Zig decided to get a couple of hundred yards on the odometer to check and see if things were working. For a start, Dave jumped on the brakes and the headlights flew out but apart from that, things seemed to be working ok. he's a beautiful looking car and the sunshine makes it look even better. . .

Shorty's Shit . . .

The boys have got Shorty's new ride nearly ready for the street, just a couple of little jobs left to do and she'll be ready to make sme noise. . .
One of the jobs that Hodgey had to carry our was to make up a couple of custom 'bump-stops' to stop the handle bars from hitting against the fuel tanl when on full lock. Lucky that the bike is nearly ready because Shorty can't wait to stretch out those long legs of his and that this steed for a gallop around the block. No-one puts in more miles on a bike during the Summer than Shorty. The only problem is, when he gets to where he's going, he can't reach the foot peg to kick it down and he ends up falling over all the time. . .

FE Holden . . .

New motor and gearbox is now mounted in front of the FE. It even looks faster now. . .nice looking unit. . .

FE Holden . . .

Finally the new motor has arrived from the supplier and she looks like it's going to fill in the hole up front nicely. . .
This is the included read-out attached to the new motor. For those of you old farts who can't see very well it shows 612.5HP at about 6600rpm and well over 500ft lb's torque. Should be able to destroy a set of rear rubber bands in a couple of minutes if pushed?

Cliff's F100 . . .

Looks like a little bit of rust repair right?
Have a look at the condition of the canopy of this cabin. There is not one spot the whole way around the rim of the cabin that hasn't been affected by rust and Dylan certainly has his work cut out for him if he is to repair and replace the whole water channel section. . .You can see from the amount that has been removed in this pic as to how far the rusted sections affect the integrity of the roof. . .

'49 Pilot . . .

Dylan and Rhys had a crack at fabricating a new fire-wall for the Pilot on Friday. From the look of the results, the boys did a great job. . .
A little bit of file work to squareup a couple of the edges and finish welding in the sides and the old Pilot wnt know what hit it. Noticed a nice black Pilot arriving on a trailer at Chopped last weekend and I must admit the style is slow,y growing on me. I just got to get the image of the old Pommy Taxi's out of my head and she'll be right . . .

Ziggy's Studie . . .

Here it is folks, here's what i hear you ask? Unbeknown to you, this car is purring like a pussy-cat and the Zigg has finally got a major milestone nailed, the car is now running. . .
I'm a little bit puzzled folks and I'm hoping that one of you might be able to help me out with a definative answer? Are Auto-electricians related, either physically, sexually or in any other fashion, to cattle? I ask this question because everytime that we talk to an auto-elec lately, all that comes out of his mouth is bullshit, and loads of it! Fair dinkum, the bullshit that we've heard from auto-elecs lately is piled that highin the yard that we have to treat it as a fucking round about! It would be nice if one of them said he was going to come in and do some work and then actually turn up!

EH Wagon . . .

Finally delivered to the right shed, the big V6 front end for the EH wagon has had quite the journey, half way around Australia to be exact, before finally making its way to Hodgey's Shed.
Seems strange that the company calls itself V6 Conversions when most of its front ends are fr V8 swaps? Not to worry, they are a sterling unit and should give years of reliable service . . .

FE Holden . . .

Greg has said that he wants to modify the FE so that it looks like 'his' car and I can completely understand his sentiments on that one. First job on the list is new wheels. Now tell me, what early Holden doesn't look FN fantastic with satin Centerlines stuffed in under the guards? Great choice and a fantastic look. I'd love to get this one out for a photo shoot, it just oozes tuff, street!

Shorty's Shit . . .

Here's another one that's in the final stages of completion. Hodgey has just finished monting the exhaust system now that it's back from HPC coatings. The boys at HPC will be feasting on crayfish sandwhiches again this weekend after seeing the bill for two pipes to be heat-coated. About all I can say is "Fuck me." I certainly wont be sending my HJ's extractors down their way anytime soon! Shorty's ride is looking 'bitchin' and will be a coool cruiser. . .

Ziggy's Studie. . .Oh the pain.

Poor old Zig, looking at his Studie you would think that it's ready for the road, but as every person who has ever built a car, you will know that stage when the car is sooo bloody close to being finishe but there is 101 tiny little jobs that have to be completed before she's sent out for her trial run. I'm feelin ya pain Zig!

'49 Pilot . . .

The boys don't stay in one place for long here, now 'D' has moved over to the '49 Pilot. D has joined in with Rhys and the two of them are now working on a new firewall for the Pilot . . .

Meccano set . . .

As I said when Hodgey was assembling Shorty's ride, once you start mucking around with different parts, you end up with a shit load trouble. The new rear wheel on this one is that wide that there is no way in hell that the original braking system will fit. Hodgey is seen here pulling out the 'big toys' to cut and fabricate a new mount for a in-house modified set of braking calipers . . .
New brakes in place and they look as if they grew there. Another one-off fix from the boys and now the bike can get back on the road with a rear tyre that wouldn't look out of place on a car.
While Hodgey has been busy on one side with the new braking system, Dylan Swagey has had the time to make up a new mount to house the brake light and number plate. Team effort for this bike . . .

FE Holden . . .

Different gearboxes require different crossmembers to support the rear mount. Luckily Dave was able to save the original and with a new centre section happily converted the old into a, great looking and fulling functional, new mount. Just needs a coat of paint and she's ready to go straight back in . . .
As you may recall, I tried to get a pic of the new Deadenbear constructed PowerGlide recently, but in its mounted position it was not a successful result. Well here it is, out and waiting on the new 650HP small block that's due to arrive any day now . . .

Chopped . . .

Let me tell you from the start that when I heard that this year's show was going to cost around the $50 mark, I was not going full stop. Anyway, as time got closer, I relented and eventually Hodgey and I made the hour long trip to the 'Event' known as Chopped. Well folks, I'm certainly glad I did because when next year's show comes around I can safely say "No fucking way in Hell"! What a fucking waste of money. If I wanted to go to a circus, I would wait until Silvers comes back every year. I have never seen such a bunch of disorganised rabble in all my life! Apart from the tragic event of the young kid being critically injured and the moron rolling his shit-box XP with four passengers on board, it was hard to find a genuine highlight. As for the cars, 10% were worth looking at and the other 90% was unroadworthy shit that shouldn't be allowed in the paddock let alone driven to a car show?My highlight of the show was found in the food hall with the best hamburger that I've been served in a long, long time. If only I could get the Hamburger Cart in the Safeway carpark to serve beetroot in their hamburgers I would be a happy man. . .
How is it that one of the biggest 'local' aftermarket car-parts manufacturers are heard to say, "We don't bring parts anymore, because we are now the biggest sellers of 'Moon-eyes' TShirts in Australia." I suppose that after you get flogged $50 a day at the front gate, you'd need fucking big pockets to be able to afford food, let alone buying some spare parts from a vendor?  So folks . . .if you want to watch morons ride shitty old dirt bikes with the exhaust pipes removed, round and round the venue and through the camps and food stalls. this place is for you . . .me, I'm giving it a big miss!
Value for money . . . 1 / 10
Entertainment . . .      2 / 10
Cars . . .                      As above.
Hamburgers . . .         10/ 10.

I'm signing my name to this, so no-one else gets the blame . . .

FE Holden . . .

Motor and new gearbox dummied up and in place so the boys can measure the new tailshaft and also make up a new crossmember for the new gearbox. As I previously mentioned the new motor will be pushing out close to 650 HP. . .
Although it's hard to see from this angle, this is the brand new Deadenbear featured Powerglide gearbox. An upgrade was necessary to channel the horsepower gains rearward . . .
Not only will the motor and gearbox be upgraded but it is a full drivetrain upgrade. The diff is out and it's internals are being changed over to a Strange centre with 35groove billet axles. The diff also has to be shortened for the new wider, deeper set Converse rims that have also been ordered . . .

Shorty's Shit . . .

Hodgey's still working hard on the jigsaw puzzle that's Shorty's new ride and it's slowly all coming together . . .
Andrew has mounted the huge new tank and it looks great with its new paint job. Color, although it looks fantastic, is a standard car color, but looks extra special on the new tank . . .

FE Holden . . .

This baby is back from the painter's shop and is now awaiting her new donk that is going to be grunting out 650 ponies. . . giddy-up!
Engine bay paint now looks like it is liquid black. Sensational paint work guys. . .
