Danny and Chris . . .

Dave's been hard at work on this one for a couple of days, working on and around the steering. The other major change has been the installation of the fuel tank. As you can see, the tank fits nicely between the rear floor bracing and the chassis rails underneath. The spout will come up through the floor-boards and is a nicely finished aircraft design. . .

EH Wagon. . .

Look up into the wheel tub and you can see that there is a strip of metal being welded into the gap made by the mini tub cut out. Dave's gotta be careful with the welding so that he doesn't 'blow' holes through the wheel tub. Dave will actually spot weld the new strip into place and then strip weld at different sites so that the tub doesn't get too hot in one spot and buckle and twist. . .

Shorty's other shit . . .

More of Shorty's gear, this time a Harley frame that he wants to turn into a Bobber. As you can see Hodgey has already removed the rear guard rails and cleaned everything up ready for some custom bracing and a fair bit of grinding. . .
This is what I meant by a good tidy up before the custom made side bracing is welded into place . . .
What can you say? Photo bombed while making sparks. . .we love sparks, but balaclavas?
Hodgey about to weld in/on the custom side brace. As you can see the other side is already welded in place and cleaned up. These braces add far superior strength when welded in. . .

Shorty's shit . . .

Shorty dropped in the other day and when he went home his entourage was a hell of a lot lighter. First of all he drops off a '32 High Boy Chassis for a set of custom cycle guards to be added. The frame is a beautiful Li-lo chassis hand made by Ian Alison from Shepparton. . .
These rims and tyres are coming off and a set of five spoke mags and huge tyres with monster side-walls are taking their place. . .
Looking at the frame from this angle shows up all the custom mods and also shows why the Alison frame is widely acclaimed as one of the best in the business. . .

'55 Mercury . . .

I love this car when they take the spats off. Hodgey has been working on the air-bag system and in the middle of checking the ride heights and air pressures, he took the spats out just for better access to the rear 'bags'. The spata were only off for a short moment but geez they make this car llok sooo bloody good. Those wheels are sensational and need to be seen, BUT, Joe likes his spatsand they will be staying in place. . .

VW Volksrod . . .

Front end is back in place and bonnet is back in its mounts, this rad ride is starting to look really sinister. The side skirts made up and installed by Dylan are obvious to the eye and look quite good and add a look of really low to the ground stance.  . .
Open up the bonnet and you can see the front end mounted into the new mount that the boys have made up in store for the rod. Not only does the new mount extend the wheel-base by seven inches, it also lowers the front end by three to three and a half inches. Above the newly mounted front end you can see the mods carried out bu Dylan. It all starts to fall into place now and the mods are fitting together really well to get this sinister looking beast onto the road. . .

EH Wagon . . .

Having a look into the rear section of the vehicle you can see that the mini tubs hardly make any impact into the available space and when finished will be basically invisible to the casual observer, The condition of this wagon is exceptional for its age. . .
I took this pic just to show you the condition of the engine bay and it matches the way the rest of the wagon is preserved. This wagon is one of those 'one off' finds that everyone wishes that they could find. It's madness how good this car is preserved. BTW, Hodgey has to make a few changes here as a modified HR front end is arriving shortly for the new running gear and the driveline is being changed over from the old Holden 'Red' six that was in place to a small block from the Chevrolet factory, personally I'd go for a carby fed LS series motor?
