FE Holden . . .

The FE is at a pull-down and paint stage. The diff and control arms are away being painted and Dylan has spent the morning respraying the under surface of the floor with body deadener.
This pic shows the new trailing arm mounts that were hand made by Andrew, it's not easy to get a lot of good pics of these mounts with the colors being black on black . . .

'55 Mercury . . .

Dave has split the wheel wells and moved the inner sides inboard far enough for about a 5inch section to be welded in Don't forget the huge 22inch billets that have to be shoe-horned into these spaces. Anyway it's starting to look like it should and the inner guards are in very good condition . . .

New Work Ute . . .

Cabin sitting on the Toyota chassis really starting to look sweet. Next job on the agenda is a 5inch roof chop, yep 5inches . . .
Everyone seems to be getting in on the F100/150 act lately and this is a new arrival for a bit of work to be carried out. I don't know how much work he wants done when that apparition you see on the roof is actually a piston with conrod still attached going straight through the roof. I suppose that steel isn't like it used to be any more?

FE Holden . . .

Approximate ride height of the FE after the tubs, diff and suspension mods are nearing completion. They are bloody big wheels, that's for sure . . .
Inside the boot looking at the new suspension assembly. Considering how far this car has been lowered and how big the billets are, there is very little intrusion into the actual boot space. By the time that Andrew moulds a sheetmetal cover for the area, it will look the same as the stepped area in later model Holdens, but a lot smaller . . .
Triangulated trailing arms, coil-over shocks, huge billets and a shortened 9inch, wow that's one tuff running assembly. I'm glad that there are so many manufacturers producing modular 9inch housings these days, now you don't have to ruin the back of a Holden with a Ford product . . .
Sitting pretty folks, just needs some sheet metal work in the boot and this will be one Ball Busting Early Holden . . .

Voodoo Wedding . . .

Voodoo is looking as beautiful as ever and she's in another wedding tomorrow, but she seems to be having trouble keeping up the sparks in her batteries; Probably Arthur using the vibrator on her too many times? But anyway, Furry, yep that's his name, was in today and gave her a good dose of 'Berocca' and she will be full of beans tomorrow and hopefully get the bride to the altar on time?

AC Cobra . . .

We haven't seen this one for a while but she seems to have a pain in her belly. More a mechanical job than fabrication but when you hear the bullshit that the young blokes been told that needs to be done to repair a simple case of 'hiccups' then Hodgey, being the nice guy that he is, stepped in and offered to help out . . .Updates on its progress as it happens.

FE Holden . . .

Triangulated four link is now in place and looking very spiffy. Hodgey is now working on the shocker mounts for the coil-overs to hook up and do their bit in trying to tame the arse end of this mad machine. . .
Shocker mounts are going to have to be hand-made because there is no way in hell that the coil-overs can get close enough to the hangers for the bolts to thread through. Andrew will have to make up some custom spacers for this job,
Photos are in black and white because Andrew had some very bright halogen work-lights under the car and the idiot photographer forgot to change the White Balance on his camera. Not to worry, all genius' trip up every now and then. I could have told you that I was trying out my artistic side and you lot are stupid enough to believe me . . .
