SS Impala . . .
This is the problem that we were left with so Dave and Hodgey decided to lengthen the lower trailing arms by one inch to get the wheel off the arch . . .
Trailing arm has had one inch added to the middle and now Dave will box the whole arm to add strength . . .
Boxed section is obvious and trailing arm ready to be replaced . . .
Trailing arm being re-mounted into bracketry. After fixing both lower trailing arms the wheels still managed to rest against the wheel arch so the boys did some measuring and it was necessary to add 35mm to the upper control arm and also box it for strength and then re-adjust the pinion angle and then check the result again . . .
Success, the wheel is sitting in a neutral position with no rubbing and when the springs are re-mounted the car will ride approx one to one and a half inches higher . . .
