Happy Birthday Johnny. . .

The man and his trike, such a lovely couple. . .

Happy birthday Johnny, we all love you. . .

Wednesday 27th February 19??

Johnny's Trike. . .

For those of you who have been writing in, worrying about the lack of development of Johnny"s Trike, worry no more. Here you can see that the 'Awsomenator' has custom fabricated a new foot pedal into position so that the big man now has full control over his rear brakes. . .

And have a look at the power booster that Dave managed to squeeze in between the rails and under the radiator, which just happens to be well hidden under Johnny's 'Bitch Seat'. . .

HJ update. . .

To look at a photo like this can be totally un-inspiring, but to those in the know, you can see absolute craftmanship oozing everywhere!

When you look at this pic and compare it to the one above, you can see how much has been massaged out of the rails and then it makes you wonder about the other little adjustments like mini-tubs that extend right up into the top of the guards to allow for the skewed wheel travel that happens when you drive a super low car into a driveway or petrol station. Those are the sort of details that the 'masters' of the trade consider before jumping the gun and reaching for the gas-axe. . .

Sinister. . .black and polished alloy, just plain bad arsed 355 ready to motor Miss Daisy to the supermarket. . . IN STYLE!

I just love it when a plan comes together. . .

F100 update. . .

Rear rails notched and diff mounted back in. . .

Sitting back on the ground. . .absolutely unreal,
BUT for this customer we are going to have to raise the ride height. . .each to their own!

HJ update. . .

Notched rear rails for a bit more room for the diff to move up and down on the new tubular trailing arms. . .

This is ground clearance and ride height with full suspension travel. Engineered and ready to kick arse. You just have to sit back and admire the talent of these blokes, simply bloody amazing. . .

Plymouth. . .

Dave has been busy and re-attached the front end so that he could see what had to be removed from all the tin work to allow the fitment of the huge XR6 radiator and oil cooler. . .

Finally the radiator is sitting in place with plenty of room for the othe ancilleries like oil cooler and air-conditioning condensors and thermo fans and any other junk that will fit in the trunk. Have a look at that huge gap between the top of the radiator and the old radiator support panel, geez that would make one hell of an opening for an OTR cold air inlet. . .c'mon 'Awsomenator' we  know that you want to. . .

F100 update. . .

Nose cone back in place temporarily just to check for any clearance issues with the bigger motor. . .and to make it look good for the owner when he drops by for a quick look at progress.

The big man doing his mastercraft on the rear rails of this leviathin of a beast. Not only does the owner want the thing dropped on its guts, he still wants to be able to fill the tray with bricks for his work. . .

HJ Holden. . .

Plenty of room in these wheel wells for some pretty big tyres. Hodgey has some pretty cool ideas up his sleeve for this sedan that will redefine the old 'ProStock' style of Street Machine. This is one cool car with a 'very' cool owner. . .more info to follow.

F100/XJ6 transplant. . .

Fair dinkum folks this place carries out more transplants than Marcus Welby M.D., and Dr Sid from Home and Away combined. This new fashionista is an F100 with an XJ6 front end welded into place. . .

Next step for Dr Andrew was to drop a dirty great Cleveland carefully into its lap . . .

Anyone who knows a thing or two about the old Pommie Jags will almost certainly realise that they weren't built with pretty blue Cleveland style engine mounts. . .no problems, that's about 15mins work for Dr Andrew. . .

For those of you who have been wondering about poor old Dylan lately, well we had to pull him away from hair modelling duties to get him to tidy up this Salisbury diff for the final piece of the F100 puzzle. Pretty tidy looking job too. . his hair cut that is. . .

Plymouth. . .

Dave making plenty of sparks as he cuts through the firewall of the Plymouth to mount the XR6 brake pedal and booster assembly. . .

This is the brake pedal assembly as surgically removed from the donor vehicle and ready to be installed in the transplant recipient.

You can see here that Dave has tacked the brake pedal into place to test its location with the booster assemble located outside in the engine bay. Note also the the 'Awsomenator' has carried out some careful skin grafts around the edges of the floor pan and has carried out a little 'lipo suction' in the tunnel area so the larger than normal gearbox has  a better chance of fitting into the slim confines. . .

Booster assembly mounted to firewall and those that look carefully can catch a fleeting glimpse of the 'Awsomenator' as he carries out the finishing touches to another surgical implant. . .

Tubbing the HJ. . .

HJ up on the hoist and stripped bare of running gear ready for tubs. This sedan is to receive some major modifications in and around the rear end and will be a very interesting thread to follow. . .
BTW, this vehicle will be fully engineered and hopefully left alone by our flat-footed friends?

The rear frame rails will be 'notched' to allow some extra clearance for the heavily modified Salisbury when it gets returned and remounted.
Inner wheel wells will be extensively massaged to make as much room as possible. The normally rounded top edges will have to be hammered out and squared up to allow for the 275-60 series tyres on the 15x8.5inch fully reversed rims. . .

For Sale. . .

We all know him as Dave the Awsomenator but he is also the 'Rodent' who put the rat into this Rat Rod. A beautiful example of this style of car and is reluctantly coming up for sale. . .

Jag XJ6 front end located, secured and ready for a bit of prep work before being slotted into this old F100. hey are a brilliant front end for this type of conversion and are getting harder and harder to find. . .

The Plymouth. . .

Massive engine bay allows for the motor to sit completely above the sub-frame, no need to worry about where the hump in the sump fits. . .

Engine is sitting on its new mounts and there is more than ample room all around for firment of any accessories that might follow. . .

Dylan has been cutting and grinding off all the old mounting gear from the XR6 diff assembly.

New arrival. . .

Pretty shitty looking old HJ, but geez is this thing gonna look sweet, this is set to be one 'cheeky' street ride. . .

Bitza. . .

The old Plymouth is moving right along and after some smart modifications to the steering system it's now time to install a bit of modern energy. . . no not True Energy or any other over priced, overseas owned power company, but good old Aussie Ford power. . .

But what do you call a Plymouth that's sporting a HQ Holden subframe and now has an XR6 motor and gearbox stuffed between the rails? Highly innovative for one I would have thought? This thing is going to be such a crazy sleeper. . .

A Master's Touch. . .

Finished detail on the grafting in of the HQ donor font end and you wouldn't know any difference. . .

Finished of the work is sublime, when the rails are high-filled and sanded the joins will be invisible. . .

Holden transplant to the Plymouth. . .

Holden front end grafted into place after careful measurement. . .

Front view looks like it is supposed to be there. .

Carefully welding the plates inplace so that there is no straight through join will add strength and torsional rigidity to the sub-frame. . .
