Christmas Rush. . .

Anthony's 'Bobber' looking better all the time, now the paint has been removed from the tank and rear mud guard. . .
This is where the big interest arises from now on, this 'Gasser' has to be driven out the door before christmas, oh it has to be finished too!
Front end has been removed for painting of the chassis and a bit ofradiator fabrication before final rebuild. . .
Huge extractor systems are designed to go straight out the side guards and rearwards through the front outer guards. . .Big motor, BIG pipes!
Driver's side is much the same as the other side except that Dave had to cut the extractors and re-route them to get them outside the inner guards, current design was waaay too short. . .
Dave busily remaking some of the mounting plates for the Pick-up's cabin so that all the lines and curves are perfectly symmetrical when bolted up. . .

Big Bad Johnny lifting the tub away from the Pick-up, Herculian strength needed for this job and Johnny does it with ease!
As can be seen in this image because of the huge width of the outer guards, only very small mini-tubs are required to completely house the massive drag slicks. . .
LHS of the tub shows that only a 75mm cut-out was all that was necessary to take the tub frame across to the chassis making for some small tubs.

Golden oldie from a bi-gone era. . .

Nigel's Gasser is moving right along with its new tub and guards now in place and something for you oldies out there. . .a Balance Bar, used in the sixties to stop wheel spin. The old timers would fill it up with lead, steel, rocks, anything that they could find to add a bit of weight to the rear end to pull that arse down and get a bit of extra grip. . .

F100 Long-whheeled base. . .

Just a real quick update on the F100, the dash is all cut'n shut and the instrument cluster is in place, good work from the apprentice. . .

Anthony's Bobber. . .

Hodgey spent all day Saturday catching up with some work on Anthony's Bobber. . .

Some people would think that you would have to be totally mad to cut up a Honda 750/4 that was in immaculate condition but the results speak for themselves. . .this is one helluva good looking cyccle. A couple of more minor time appropriate modifications and this Bobber will be ready to control the top of the heap. . .

The Gasser continues. . .

The Gasser has received a new tub and checking the location of the tailights. . .
Moving right along see's the rear guard in place and checking fitment. . .
All the goodies from Rocket still have to find their way into the Gasser to bring it up to spec for drags and serious burn-out work. . .BTW kids keep an eye out for this beast at Summernats, it's already booked in. . .

Dad's Trike. . .

Here it is fellas, A hot new project from the Big Fella. This new project has special meaning because Andrew is making this trike for his old man, John, to get around on during thr warmer months. Motor is the Holden 'Starfire' and auto removed from a Sunbird. First attempts at setting out the trike on a bike jig. . .
Add some bars and a seat and put the diff in place and all of a sudden you've got the making of a trike. Just for those who are interested, the diff is straight out of a tubbed Hatchback and is a shortened 9inch with billet axels, it's also running about 15inch rims, wide that is!!!
Drop a tank in place and prop up the seat and things are looking better. for those with the sharp eyes, you will have noticed that the front forks have been broght back in by approx., 100mm.
The tank will also be split and lowered. . .

Kazza's at it again. . .

 Head hunters. . .
I think this bloke got caught by the two nasty individuals above.
Fair dinkum, you be havin' funny dreams if ya hang these gizmo's on ya loungeroom wall. . .
This is two of the Three Wise Owls. Yeah I know it's supposed to be monkeys but some tool wanted owls, so whatever the tool wants, the tool gets!

Cut 'n chop shop. . .

First update to the cut ,n chop brigade is the dash for the '54 F100. The old dash has been sectioned and now re-sits in the RHD configuration. A lot of cutting, welding and grinding from Dylan and the interior is off to a flying start. . .
This is the Honda that Dave has been trying to work on, but apart from consistent distractions from the big fella, he is finally getting somewhere. The arse end is now gone and Dave is making up some new brackets for housing the 6inch extensions and then 'Bobs your uncle'. . .
This is one of Dave's distractions, the 'gasser' is back on the 'to do' list and must be finished before Chrissie. As you can see Dave has measured twice, cut once, stuffed a few things up and welded what was left into a pretty good looking frame for the tray. . .
This is the big fella's job that is 'slowly' coming to fuition. Great looking hand-made brackets for the air bags and some 3 1/2 inch lowering blocks, next some slight modifications to the trans tunnel and this old Valiant wagon should be adopting its new low look stance wherever and whenever it gets parked. . .
Fairly radical ride height at the moment, Me thinks she needs a couple of pounds in the bags. .

Great start to the day. . .

It's gotta be a good day at work when you pull up and this is the view that greets you at the front door! The boys custom cycles and just inside the roller door sits a phat little 'rat' ready to be slammed and chopped even harder. . .
This is the '54 Ford Pick-up that Dylan is working on. Yesterday it was a LHD piece of Yankie junk and today Dylan has the cabin looking like it was born to drive from the right hand seat. . .

Mixed bag. . .

This is the twin power booster system that Dave was working on. It's now mounted neatly up under the dash and behind the glove box. Note also the hidden wiper system to the left of the power boosters. . .
Out in the engine bay we now find the Wilwood  master cylinder as well as the start of extensive fire wall smoothing. The whole engine bay is to receive 'smoothing' work rather than new flat instalations. . .
Now this is the cabin of the '54 Ford Pick-up that Dylan has been working on. As can be seen from the pic, the LHS steering set-up has been removed and the firewall smoothed, after the dash has been moved around, you won't know the difference. . .
Now back to Dave. Nigel's back from the USA and it's all stops out to finish the 'Gasser'.
Dave got the fitting of the extractors job, and you guessed it, one side fits and the other don't. . . Dave's in the middle of some serious cut'n'tuck here and within 15mins the offending pipes were in their new home. Yeah bullshit, the fucking things took about two hours to modify!

Meanwhile Dave keeps plodding along. . .

The creative genius at the back of the shed just keeps plodding along, meeting deadline after deadline. Dave hard at work designing and making final adjustments to a twin power booster brake system for a client's car. This all has to be hidden under the dash of the car along with the new line-locker, proportioning valve, new hidden wiper system and all the usual electronics that need to be out of sight but accessible. . .
BTW, Daves not scared of spiders.

Kazza's at it again. . .

Hodgey's little sister is at the welding station again. There's no such thing as scrap metal when she's around. I can't believe the creative mind and tallented hands of this young lady. . .
This is one bad-arsed lookin vulture. . .

Update on the '54 F100. . .

Dylan hard into the dismantling stage. Front and rear ends on the floor and the steering system about to follow. . .unfortunately for Dylan who's shit-scared of spiders, there was a dirty, fat, Huntsman who had taken up residence in one of the front control arms. we're still trying to coax Dylan out of the 'locked' toilets. . .
Work to be carried out on the old girl includes, Jag front end, Borg-Warner rear end, big Cleveland and an auto transmission. This long wheel based truck is going to turn into one fancy ride. . .

31 Ford Tudor. . .

31 Ford Tudor in for major chassis modifications. . .
Two little blocks of redwood being the exact height rquired for keeping the guards off the wheels. . .
Airbags will allow running boards to rest on the ground. . .
Funnily enough the major chassis mods must include interior changes that include mounting points for child's seating. . .family life catches up with everyone at some stage. . .
Modern front end with ventilated discs and tubular upper/lower control arms. . .

Honda into a Bobber. . .

Honda K1-750/4 with hard tailing rear end delivered to the shed to be turned into a Bobber.
First step is to remove all the plastic fairings and flashy bits. . .

getting down to tick tacks and it's time to get serious. . .
Bike is ready for cutting, this is Dave's favorite part of the exercise and he loves the look on the faces of the owners when he lets the sparks fly with cutting saws and grinding wheels. Trailing arms are looking a little 'floppy' at the moment.
